About Me

Crafted by Hand. Built to Last.

Hi, I’m Scott—the maker, designer, and craftsman behind Redbeak Leatherworks.

I'm currently a full-time dad for my 2 daughters, making leather whenever I get a coveted spare moment.

Redbeak is a one-man workshop born out of a love for traditional techniques, rugged durability, and the honest, hands-on process of working with premium leather. Every single item that leaves my bench, from custom hand-tooled belts to bespoke leather bags, is dyed, carved, stitched, and finished entirely by my own two hands. No mass production, no shortcuts, and no assembly lines.

How It All Started

My path into leathercraft wasn't carefully planned—it started with a Halloween costume back in 2023.

I needed a pair of leather bracers to complete a medieval costume, so I decided to buy some leather and try making them myself. The moment I started cutting, shaping, and tooling, I was hooked.

Once the costume was finished, I found myself with a bit of leftover leather and a brand-new obsession. I immediately sat down and made a simple wallet and a keychain. From that weekend on, there was no turning back—I wanted to figure out how to make everything.

The Redbeak Standard

What started as a single Halloween project quickly grew into a full-fledged passion for mastering the craft. Today, I focus on creating pieces that blend rugged functionality with genuine artistic detail.

100% Handcrafted: From initial pattern design and hand-carving to stitching and edge-burnishing, every step happens right here at my bench.

Made for the Long Haul: I use premium full-grain leathers and traditional techniques so your gear doesn't just survive daily use—it develops a rich patina and gets better with age.

Custom & Personal: Bringing custom visions, unique tooling patterns, and personalized designs to life is my favorite part of the job.

Leather tells a story over time, and I’m honored to build pieces that become a part of yours. Thanks for supporting independent leathercraft!
